WATERING
Cool season grasses require one (1) inch of water
per week to remain actively growing when temperatures are between 45ø
and 85ø F. If temperatures are between 85ø and 90ø, turf may require an
inch and one half (1 1/2). Temperatures 90ø and higher signal two (2)
inches of moisture to keep grass actively growing.
Less water amounts may force turf into a dormant state.
During extended droughts, turf requires a half inch
(1/2) every week to keep crowns alive. Amounts of one-third to one-half
(1/3 - 1/2) inch every three week keeps the root system alive.
