GLYCERINIZING FLOWERS - FOLIAGE AND LIMBS
To glycerinize plants for long term preservation,
combine 1 part glycerin (available at drug stores) with two parts warm
water. Immerse stems stripped of foliage. Place plants in a cool, dark
location. Add further solution if needed, until plants stop absorbing
the liquid.
Glycerined plant material will be more pliable. However,
not all plants can be glycerined.
Glycerinized plant material may mold readily during
high humidity conditions. Store accordingly.
