FERN--GROWING
Most ferns prefer a loose, organic soil; diffused
or filtered light (north windows), high humidity and sufficient moisture
to keep the soil from drying out. Excessive moisture can rot the plant.
Dry conditions, such as those during winter when furnaces dry the air,
can cause yellowing leaves and thinning of the plant.
Too much light can also cause plants to yellow and
thin.
