COMPANION PLANTING

Companion planting implies that some plants are beneficial to other plants, such as repelling insects, increasing production or keeping animals away.

The University of Illinois and other land-grant institutions haven't proven scientifically that plants actually help each other. Check with the Farmer's Almanac or Organic Gardening references for further information.
